Middle East-UAE Overview and Export Considerations

8-hour flight to where 2/3 of the world's population lives.

Friendly relations between China and the UAE: Since the establishment of diplomatic relations between China and the UAE in 1984, the friendly and cooperative relations

between the two countries have developed smoothly. Especially in recent years, China-UAE relations have shown a momentum of comprehensive and rapid development

and are very stable, with Chinese enterprises in the local communications, infrastructure and railways in the UAE.

In recent years, the level of bilateral trade between China and the UAE has risen rapidly, and about 70% of China's exports to the UAE are re-exported to other countries

in the Middle East and Africa through the UAE, and the UAE has become China's largest export market and second largest trading partner in the Arab world. Mainly

imported from China electromechanical, high-tech, textile, lighting, furniture and other products.

1. For goods with a declared value of more than 270 US dollars or a single ticket weight of more than 50kg, the customs will inspect the goods and generate taxes;

2. Precautions for customs clearance materials

First, the recipient is an individual

For goods with a declared value of more than 270 US dollars or a single weight of more than 50kg, the recipient must provide a copy of the passport and a copy of

the visa page before customs clearance.

It is important to note that:

The customer must ensure that the name of the recipient on the waybill and invoice provided is exactly the same as the name on the recipient's passport before shipping.

Otherwise, the consignee information of the waybill and invoice must be changed, resulting in longer customs clearance time, in short, the customs clearance documents

need to be kept consistent.

Second, if the recipient is a company

For goods with a declared value of more than 270 US dollars or a single weight of more than 50kg, the receiving company must provide a valid import tariff number and

a copy of the trade license before customs clearance;

3. What customs clearance documents are required for export to Dubai

Dubai generally does not need to do CCPIT certification, but generally need to do a certificate of origin CO, which should be subject to customer requirements, so it is

best to confirm with your customers, customers can indicate the customs code on the invoice, which will be more conducive to smooth customs clearance.
